I still don't understand why didn't they include Fedyor and Ivan in season 2? They added hundred new characters but cut the ones that the audience actually cared about and they wonder why people stopped watching the show. It's almost like they wanted it to flop this hard.

I think there were some issues with both actors- covid and clashing schedules if I remember correctly.

As much as I loved their performances or to be more precise- because I loved them so much, I'm glad they weren't involved in the end. The second season was worse than abysmal.

This way we can pretend Ivan crawled out of the Fold, found Fedyor, who barely escaped First Army slaughters, but due to their injuries they weren't able to join the Darkling in time, and moved to the Eastern Mountains after they healed, because there's no place for them in Lantsov Ravka anymore. And no one cares much about that area, so they'll be free to live hard, but happy and free life.

They were quarantined for a bit. Ghost hadn't spoken for weeks at that point.

We didn't bother locking them up again.

No one has noticed yet. Not enough of a system left to report them to anyway. Options are to ignore it or shoot them yourself.

Guess their work makes up for it. Plenty of reason to turn a blind eye.

Soap is as well-behaved as ever. Quick on the uptake for someone who can hardly string a sentence together.

Simon is the worst he's ever been, but competent. Deadly. More ruthless than before.

Still hasn't spoken a word.

Suppose he is dead. Funny that his heart stayed beating once it finally took.

Yep, not even a single fuckin mention of “Ivan, who tragically died in the Fold” or whatever. It’s awful, I was waiting the entire season for SOMETHING and nope. Honestly I also just feel terrible for Simon and Julian too

I'm especially irritated because the writers made quite a big deal out of Fivan in s1. Not only did they make them a couple, but they spent time advertising the fact that they had; i.e. they made posts in Pride month featuring Fivan as queer and patting themselves on the back for it. Obviously, the fandom loved it, and loved Simon and Julian, who adored their characters and spent lots of time shipping them on social media. So to just be like "lol we forgot about them entirely" and/or cut all their scenes out, so we don't even get a changed outcome to both of them dying in book 2 (WHICH THEY ARE IN), is just deeply lazy and stupid. Yes, I know there's a lot going on in season 2, they're already cramming a lot into it, but just dropping the queer couple you spent a lot of time getting brownie points for in s1 is just. Hmm. I have words, let's put it that way. Many of them.
